Abstract: Background Cardiovascular benefits of aggressive dual antiplatelet therapy may be associated with extra risks including bleeding, cancer, and infections discovered first for prasugrel in the TRial to assess Improvement in Therapeutic Outcomes by optimizing platelet InhibitioN with prasugrel (TRITON) trial.
