The three-dimensional finite element method is a theoretical mechanical application analysis method related to modern computer technology, and is also an important means in biomechanical research. It has a wide range of applications in the field of dentistry. Therefore, the application of the three-dimensional finite element method to solve biomechanical problems in dentistry has received increasing attention. This article provides a review of the current research status of three-dimensional finite element method in the fields of oral medicine, oral restoration, implantation, orthodontics, and oral and maxillofacial surgery in recent years.
