Abstract:This study investigates the influence of thermally grown oxide (TGO) on the lifetime of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs). In the experiments, cold sprayed NiCoCrAlY powder was deposited as the bond coat and plasma sprayed YSZ was deposited as the topcoat.
