“…Figures 7 compares the foams in this study with several Al matrix foams in terms of the energy absorption capacity as a function of peak strength [5,7,21,25, 26,30]. The theoretical upper limits are shown in Figure 7(a).…”

“…The Al/Zn–Cu(A) foams exhibit a structure composed of brittle inner and ductile outer layers. In the Al/Zn matrix, the widely distributed dendrite morphology of the Al–Zn–Ca phase or Al–Zn–Ca–Ti phase (Figure 1) limits the plastic flow and promotes the brittle characteristic of foams [21]. Furthermore, annealing of the Cu coating enhanced the ductility by grain restructuring [22].…”

“…46,56,[65][66][67] CCAFs have been produced through various methods and using various blowing agents. 47,68 In addition to blowing agents various stabilizing elements usually ceramics have been used over the years to achieve foam stability. 11,48,[69][70][71][72][73] Typical studies of foams using dolomite as the blowing agent powder through the precursor method, indicate the possibility of manufacturing the foam with desired mechanical properties at very low costs as compared to the ones using expensive blowing agents.…”

“…These compositions do not only increase the strength but also robust the abrasion properties under stress that relied on complicated phases in the grain boundaries. Moreover, it is also employed under intermediate alloy formation [4].…”

“…The fine grain structure will parently robust the mechanical properties of ingots. However, the alloys contain over 5 % Si which the mechanical traits are slightly enhanced under conditions that ingots must be guarantee to solid or have a certain number of intermetallic phases, such as FeSiAl 5 at a certain extent [4,7].…”
