“…According to the results of the EDS analysis of white abrasive particle A in Table 5, the main elements were Si and O, and the atomic ratio was 2:1, presumably the abrasive grains are SiO 2 . This is due to the reaction of Si 3 N 4 on the abrasive balls with water in the air to form SiO 2 during the friction process [53]. In turn, SiO 2 forms abrasive grains during the wear process.…”

“…The results indicated that the incorporation of solid lubricants such as BN and MoS 2 led to enhanced tribological characteristics of the samples, particularly when subjected to low-load friction conditions of 5 and 10 N [19]. According to Zhao et al, the synthesis Al 2 O 3 /Ag coating had a reduced wear rate compared to the Al 2 O 3 /Ag coating, attributed to its dense microstructure and superior mechanical characteristics [20]. In their study, Bi et al conducted a systematic investigation into the impact of various solid lubricants, including graphite, Mo, BaF 2 /CaF 2 , Ag, CaF 2 , and MoS 2 , on the frictional behavior of ZrO 2 (Y 2 O 3 ) matrix composites at high temperatures, and their research demonstrated that the combined lubricating effect of low-temperature lubricants, such as Ag, graphite, and MoS 2 , along with high-temperature lubricants like CaF 2 , BaF 2 /CaF 2 , and molybdate, played a significant role in reducing friction and wear across a wide temperature range [21][22][23].…”

“…Therefore, during recent twenty years, a wide variety of solid lubricating films were produced and design by combining the intrinsic properties of some binary and ternary films which are very hard and resistant to oxidation, with specific elements which diffused up to the surface and formed a low friction tribolayer. Addition of soft metals such as Ag [16][17][18][19][20] and Cu [21][22][23][24][25], was observed to be one of the more efficient solutions to obtain self-lubrication properties at a wide temperature range. Nevertheless, the strong out-diffusion of the lubricious element and its quick depletion from the entire volume of the film only allows low friction behavior for short periods of time, leading after few minutes to the failure of the film [26][27][28][29][30].…”
