Abstract:Palladium membranes represent a suitable alternative to obtain high purity hydrogen for industrial applications. The modeling of hydrogen permeation through composite membranes is important to understand gas separation systems. Here, experimental and calculated hydrogen flux data through composite palladium/alumina membranes were compared. A dense palladium film of 2.4 μm thick was deposited on a porous support and the produced composite membrane presented infinite hydrogen/nitrogen selectivity. Experimental m… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
