Influence of flux estimation in performance of direct torque control of PMSM

Abstract: Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) are extensively used in high-performance industrial applications. High dynamic response can be achieved by means of direct torque control (DTC). The main advantage of DTC is that coordinate transformations and pulse width modulation (PWM) generation are not needed, however, classical DTC produces high torque ripple.
