Influence of Heat Treatment on Eggshell Particles as Low Cost Adsorbent for Methylene Blue Removal From Aqueous Solution

Abstract: The influence of heat treatment on eggshell particlesas low cost adsorbent of methylene blue had been studied. The eggshell particles were heated at variation temperatures of 150 o C, 200 o C and 300 o C. Heated eggshell particles were then used as an adsorbent for methylene blue removal from aqueous solution. The effects of contact time and pH on adsorption capacity of methylene blue were also studied.
