Abstract: The effect of iodine treatment on the carbonization behavior of tussah silk fibroin (SF) fiber from a wild cocoon, Antheraea pernyi (A. pernyi), was investigated, and the carbon yield, fiber morphology, structural characteristics, and mechanical properties were evaluated.
