Influence of photoinitiator concentration and polymerizing light intensity on conversion of acrylic manomers

Abstract: In this work, the effect of photoinitiator concentration and light intensity on conversion of trifunctional acrylate monomers is studied. Polymerization reaction and diffusion of acrylate monomers is examined using Real Time Infrared (RTIR) spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and a holographic technique. An optimal initiator concentration that provides maximized diffraction efficiency is observed.
