Abstract:The fall armyworm (FAW,Spodoptera frugiperda) is a well-known crop pest that feeds mainly on grasses. Separate strains are known to infest maize (corn) and rice that show varying degrees of developmental and metabolic differences, as well as reproductive isolation.
