Influence of Prompt Neutron Emission on the Final Distribution of Mass, Kinetic Energy, and Charge of Fragments from Actinide Fission

Abstract: In nuclear fission of actinides samples, the fragments emit prompt neutrons before they reach the detectors. This chapter shows the effects of that emission on the final distribution of mass, charge, kinetic energy, and prompt neutron multiplicity of fragments. Those effects depend on the experimental technique.
