Influence of spreading structure in an aqueous solution-hydrocarbon system on extinguishing of the flame of oil products

Abstract: Abstract. On the basis of experimental studies it was revealed that adding of electrolyte -ammonium chloride -into solution of film-forming foaming agent leads to decrease of interfacial tension on a border with heptane, and increase of surface tension on a border with air. It is experimentally shown that dependence between specific consumption and flow rate of foaming agent passes through the minimum point that allowed defining influence of electrolyte on a value of minimum specific consumption and optimum fl… Show more

“…Analysis of the relationship of these criteria shows that the width of the communication path should be designated in accordance with the acceptable level of comfort (Table 1), its length is determined by the conditions of ensuring the timely evacuation (2) of the most sedentary demographic group of visitors in case of emergency. On the assumption of the set [25,33,39,42,43] invariance of a function V= (D), the speed (Vj) is determined by the general pattern: …”

“…For free spaces, the BSW parameters can be determined from empirical relations [1][2][3][4], and for cluttered spaces (there are protective screens on the BSW's path), it is necessary to use numerical calculation methods. To determine BSW's parameters, we use a numeric scheme from Godunov's scheme based on the breakdown of an arbitrary discontinuity [5][6][7][8][9].…”
