Influence of surface oxidation on the structure and properties of cold metal cathodes

Abstract: In the paper, methods of synthesizing oxide films on cold metal cathode surfaces, processes of electron emission from cold metal -metal oxide cathodes, sputtering of cold cathodes, and prospects for the development of emitting metal -metal oxide nanostructures with long operating lifetime are considered.
