Influence of Temperature and Time For Direct Hydroxyapatite Electrodeposition on Superhydrophilic Vertically Aligned Carbon Nanotube Films

Abstract: Superhydrophilic vertically aligned multi-walled carbon nanotubes were used as substrate to direct hydroxyapatite electrodeposition. Conventional Nickel/Titanium alloys were used for comparison. Results show that the bath temperature and the hydrophobicity control affect the hydroxyapatite/carbon nanotube composites obtained by electrodeposition. These results were proved using X-ray diffraction, Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, field emission gun scanning electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
