“…Therefore, the combination between mod.TiO 2 and g‐C 3 N 4 is favorable as it can reduce the charge carrier recombination tendency, especially for the 50 % mod.TiO 2 /g‐C 3 N 4 sample. Our result is consistent with the finding of M. Roškarič, G. Žerjav, M. Finšgar et al [45] . and R. Hao et al.…”

“…However a slight change in the nanocomposites was noticed: when the amount of mod.TiO 2 in the composite decreases, the intensity of the characteristic peaks for mod.TiO 2 gradually weakens, while the peaks specific to g-C 3 N 4 gradually intensify, indicating a strong interaction between g-C 3 N 4 and mod.TiO 2 . Our finding is in agreement with the work done by M. Roškarič, G. Žerjav, M. Finšgar et al [45] where g-C 3 N 4 / TiO 2 photocatalyst was investigated. The authors speculated that this phenomenon was observed due to the favorable electronic properties of two components, which can interact when the heterojunction is formed.…”

“…The sharp band at 808 cm –1 corresponds to the characteristic breathing mode of triazine or tri- s -triazine units of g-C 3 N 4 materials. , The prominent absorption bands at 1204, 1238, and 1316 cm –1 are assigned to the C–NH–C unit, while absorption bands in the range between 1600 and 1350 cm –1 are due to the vibrations of condensed C–N–C structural units. In particular, the bands at 1311 cm –1 belong to the C–N stretching and at 1632 cm –1 to the CN stretching. , A broad peak centered at 3164 cm –1 corresponds to either surface-adsorbed water/hydroxyl functional groups or functional groups still left from the polycondensation (NH x ). , If we compare the Simplex-optimized g-C 3 N 4 samples to those in the MRref solid, we can observe several changes. The broad peak centered at 3164 cm –1 is more defined in the case of the MR5 sample and even more so in the case of MR12 and MR15 solids, which indicates a larger content of NH/NH 2 groups in the structure.…”
