Abstract:BACKGROUND: The development of highly efficient and selective bimetallic catalytic systems for the hydrogenation of unsaturated compounds is an important scientific task. RESULTS: A new bimetallic 1%Cu-1%Pt/SiO 2 catalyst for the selective hydrogenation of phenylacetylene was developed. The bimetallic catalysts were prepared by a consecutive incipient wetness impregnation method and a redox method with preadsorbed hydrogen. We showed that the catalytic properties of 1%Cu-1%Pt/SiO 2 catalysts and selectivity to… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
