Laser combination additive manufacturing (LCAM) is a new manufacturing technology method that has been developed rapidly in recent years. The quality of LCAM is influenced by various factors, among which powder feeding head is a key factor in particular, its performance directly affects the quality and precision of LCAM. The structure and the latest research progresses are introduced mainly from the lateral powder feeding head, coaxial powder feeding head and intelligent powder feeding head, and the characteristics of three types of powder feeding head are analyzed. Based on the main problem of three types of powder feeding head, the future development of powder feeding head is prospected.
