“…Co nanowires have been electrodeposited into the pores of porous anodic alumina membrane (PAAM) [1,[9][10][11] and polycarbonate [13][14][15][16]. Nevertheless, the PAAM template is commonly used because of its excellent properties, such as corrosion resistance and decorative properties, and nanopore regularity.…”

“…In polycrystalline films also the texture, depending on the deposition conditions and post-deposition annealing, plays a role, because it determines the size of the effective magnetic anisotropy [1,[14][15][16][17][18].…”

“…This reversal magnetization is explained as competition between the demagnetizing fields and the dipolar interactions among wires. In order to check the general validity of these results, the method of electro-deposition in polycarbonate membrane pores had been used to produce arrays of cobalt NWs, with diameters in the range 100-400 nm and lengths of L<6 mm by Kazadi Mukenga Bantua et al (Kazadi Mukenga Bantua et al, 2001). It can be concluded, from the measurements of hysteresis loops at room temperature, in the range of template pore diameters studied (100-200-400 nm) , that the shortest wires have an easy axis of magnetization parallel to the axes of the wires, and the longest wires present a crossover towards perpendicular directions.…”
