Influence of the Weather on the Incidence of Fractures in the Elderly

Abstract: PURPOSE OF THE STUDYThe incidence of geriatric fractures (proximal femur, distal radius, proximal humerus and thoracolumbar spine injuries) in the population increases with ageing. However, the role of weather conditions, such as icy and slippery winter, should not be overlooked.
