Influencia De La Desnutrición Sobre La Mortalidad a Largo Plazo en Pacientes Ambulatorios Con Insuficiencia Cardiaca Crónica

Abstract: The prevalence of undernutrition and risk of malnutrition reaches high levels in chronic heart failure patients. Moreover, the state of undernutrition by Mini Nutritional Assessment score is an independent predictor of mortality in these patients.

“…The assessment of malnutrition in this research was based on the MNA form and the median follow up was 28 months. However, the analyzed population was much older than in our study (the mean age in that group was 74.6 ± 10.1 years) [ 36 ]. The study of Aggarwal et al [ 26 ] showed malnutrition to be an independent predictor of mortality in patients with advanced HF.…”

“…A Spanish study investigating impact of malnutrition on long-term mortality in patients diagnosed with chronic HF also underlined the fact that malnutrition is an independent predictor of mortality in HF patients [ 36 ]. The assessment of malnutrition in this research was based on the MNA form and the median follow up was 28 months.…”

“…Ещё одно проспективное исследование, проведенное в Испании, включившее с 2011 по 2016гг 304 пациентов, госпитализированных в отделение СН, показало, что мальнутриция, выявленная с применением шкалы MNA у пациентов с ХСН, является независимым предиктором смертности (отношение рисков 2,73; 95% доверительный интервал 1,55-4,81) [20].…”

“…In addition, the Mini Nutritional Assessment Short Form (MNA‐SF) is a comprehensive assessment tool that combines body weight, comorbidity, and psychological factors 10 . A previous study highlighted the association of severe malnutrition defined by the MNA‐SF with a four‐fold greater mortality risk in outpatients with HF 11 . Due to the different subcomponents of these screening tools, their prognostic impact may depend on the patient's current condition.…”
