The set of strategies used by parents to put their children's Background: behaviors under control are called parenting styles, which can be influenced by numerous factors including socio-economic variables, cultural differences, personal characteristics, and psychological factors. These factors can differently contribute to parenting style. Thus, the purpose of this systematic review was to examine psychological factors affecting parenting style.This study was a comprehensive literature review using the Methods: keywords of parenting styles, psychological factors, and parenting to search the databases of Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Scientific Information Database. In this respect, 416 articles were extracted. 368 articles were removed after reviewing their abstracts and full text and eventually 48 articles were selected to elicit the required data.Our findings were classified under two categories: factors related Results: to parents (mental health status, self-efficacy, parenting stress, perfectionism, personality traits, childhood trauma, marital satisfaction, parents' attachment style, perceived parenting style, and substance abuse); and those related to children (child developmental and mental disability, child temperament, and anxiety).Considering the multiple psychological factors that affect Conclusions: parenting style, it is recommended to include an assessment of parent-child psychological status in family health programs in order to identify the needs for health-oriented care and take steps towards the development of parenting skills. Background: One of the most important facts that determine human development is the socioeconomic status (SES), specifically, low SES and poverty. Likewise, family environment is essential in the development of children and a potential mediator or moderator of the effect of other social conditions in children. Objective: To analyze the role of parenting stress as a variable that mediates the relationship between SES and both externalized and internalized behaviors in preschool children. Subjects and Method: Descriptive secondary base study based on the Longitudinal Survey of Chilean First Infancy that selected a stratified sample, representative by clusters, of 9.996 children from 3 to 5 years old and their caregivers, that completed a battery of instruments for measuring SES variables, parenting stress and externalized and internalized behaviors. The analysis used a linear model with least square estimate. As hypothesis test, the Dm (an adaptation of the F-test for multiple account assignment) was used. Results: The mediation model of parenting stress in the relationship between SES and both externalized and internalized behaviors was confirmed for the latter; regarding externalized behaviors, a model of moderation was observed, being the stress influence lower on the low SES. Conclusions: Parental stress showed a clear relationship with the presence of externalized and internalized behaviors, stronger than the SES. The relationship between SES and parenting stress is very important to understand the processes that affect children's development.

Abstract-Parenting for children with special needs is not an easy thing for the mothers, including for the mothers who have children with developmental delay in speech and language. This phenomenological qualitative study aims to explore mother's experiences in parenting with speech-and-language delay children. Interviews were conducted with five mothers. The study found that experiencing some problems that cause negative emotional reactions and led to bad parenting behaviour. Hope is a major factor that can change the mother's perspective about their children. It can result in positive parenting behaviours for children's development. These results indicate that hope plays significant roles in the context of parenting children with delayed development.
