The article clarifies the meaning of the concepts "communication", "skills", "professional communication skills", "pedagogical practice". The basic principles of professional and pedagogical communication are characterized.The article analyses the scientific works of scholars related to the problem under study: N. Volkova, I. Kohut, L. Kravets, N. Kypychenko, O. Sas, and others.The article considers the effectiveness of common means of forming future preschool teachers' professional communication skills.Attention is focused on the lack of a comprehensive study of the problem of formation of professional communication skills.The importance of the role of the preschool teacher in professional and pedagogical communication in interaction with all subjects of the educational process is shown.The question was raised regarding the use of the method of modeling communicative situations, it was stated that there is a difference between real and simulated communicative situations.The role of pedagogical practice in the development of professional communication skills is outlined: pedagogical practice allows students to communicate with all pedagogical partners, which, in combination with academic classes, will create optimal conditions for the development of students' professional communication skills.The analysis of pedagogical practice programmes is carried out, as well as a survey of master's students to determine the state of formation of professional Журнал «Перспективи та інновації науки» (Серія «Педагогіка», Серія «Психологія», Серія «Медицина») № 14(32) 2023 81 communication skills.
