Various diffractive, refractive and holographic optical elements, such as diffraction gratings; microlens raster; phase plates; multi-order diffractive optical elements; adaptive mirrors; diffractive and refractive axicons; holographic multiplexes and many others are used to analyze wavefront aberrations. We shortly discuss the features (advantages and disadvantages) of various wavefront aberration sensors in the Introduction. The main part of the paper is devoted to the analysis of the weight coefficients of Zernike polynomials obtained during medical examinations of the cornea in the human eye. Using data obtained by aberrometers, the average values of the Zernike polynomial coefficients for the anterior and posterior surfaces of the healthy eye cornea and a myopic one were calculated. The original wavefront for the anterior and posterior surfaces of the cornea was restored separately, as well as the total wave aberration. For an objective assessment of the quality of vision, the corresponding point spread functions (PSFs) were calculated. We propose to compensate for the aberrations of the myopic eye, taking into account the physical features of the corneal surface. The results of numerical simulation showed that in order to improve the quality of the patient’s vision, it is necessary to take into account high-order aberrations of the anterior surface of the cornea in the form of a coma of the third order and aberrations of the fourth order.

Diabetic retinopathy is frequent, the most dangerous fundus disease. Diabetic retinopathy can result in many serious diseases. For various reasons, patients lose vision in untimely or incorrect treatment of diabetic retinopathy. The current method of treating diabetic retinopathy is laser coagulation. The ophthalmologist decides which zones need to be shelled to reduce edema based on his experience. Laser radiation parameters and distance between laser shots are also selected based on the experience of previous operations. However, the accuracy of the selection of these parameters can affect the result of treatment. Achieving high accuracy is empirical difficult. The present paper proposes a technology for selecting an effective laser coagulation strategy consisting in application of a genetic efficiency optimization algorithm based on solving of the problems of mathematical simulation of laser burns. Technology solves the problem of choosing accurate laser coagulation parameters.

The paper deals with the development of mathematical models of random fields to describe and simulate images. In the wave model, a random field is the result of the influence of perturbations (waves) that occur at random times in random places and have random shapes. This model allows representing and simulate isotropic and anisotropic images (and their temporal sequences) defined on arbitrary areas of multidimensional space, as well as on any surfaces. The problems of correlation analysis and synthesis can be relatively easily solved. However, this model allows representing only homogeneous fields. In this paper, we consider «double stochastic» wave models, when the first wave random field (control field) sets the parameters of the second (controlled field). As a result, the controlled field becomes nonuniform, since its parameters vary randomly. We also consider options when two fields mutually influence each other. These models allow us to represent and simulate multidimensional inhomogeneous images (and their temporal sequences), as well as systems of such images with mutual correlations.
