Infrared Imaging for Human Thermography and Breast Tumor Classification using Thermal Images

Abstract: Human thermography is considered to be an integral medical diagnostic tool for detecting heat patterns and measuring quantitative temperature data of the human body. It can be used in conjunction with other medical diagnostic procedures for getting comprehensive medication results. In the proposed study we have highlighted the significance of Infrared Thermography (IRT) and the role of machine learning in thermal medical image analysis for human health monitoring and various disease diagnosis in preliminary st… Show more

“…Thermography has been recommended as an early detection strategy for COVID-19 among large amounts of people in places such as in airports [98]. Deep learning has been applied to thermal images where classifications on new images can be made in under a second [99,100].…”

“…The pleura lines extracted and modeled were given as input to the supervised support vector machine (SVM) classifier to identify covid-19. Farooq et al [4] used the infrared thermography technology (IRT) ,a medical diagnostic tool that detects heat patterns and measure quantitative temperature data of the human body, with the machine learning (ML) techniques, to diagnose COVID-19 virus. They also, illustrated and explained a generic comprehensive block diagram to represent the thermal imaging, using computer aided diagnosis (CAD) system.…”
