Abstract: La ingeniería biomédica, surgió como una aplicación de los principios de la ingeniería en las ciencias de la salud 1 , permitiendo el desarrollo y fabricación de dispositivos mecánicos como prótesis y órtesis, bombas de infusión para la administración de medicamentos 1 y bioequipos implantables como marcapasos cardíacos e implantes cocleares.
