Abstract: Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) lasers equipped with bulky gas cells have been widely criticized. The special "donut″-shaped intensity distribution of vortex light (VL) is expected to reduce the pump laser intensity, suppress laser-induced breakdown, and fulfill the laser miniaturization.
