Abstract:Hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) electrosynthesis by an oxygen reduction reaction has been widely studied, but the inverse correlation between faradaic efficiency and industrial level current density is still difficult to solve. Here, we demonstrated the significant impact of generated OH − and Joule heating on the electrosynthesis efficiency of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ). Concurrent OH − production with H 2 O 2 during oxygen reduction (O 2 + 2H 2 O + 2e − → H 2 O 2 + 2OH − ) created locally alkaline environment… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
