The drug was also shown to prevent the development of BHR at 3 and 24 hours post-allergen [42], In addition, when given more than 2 hours after antigen challenge and an intact early response, nedocromil sodium in-hibited the LAR in patients who reproducibly showed an LAR to antigen [43]. These studies suggest that nedocromil sodium may prevent the infiammatory events initiated by mast cell cytokine release.…”
