“…Whereas the definition dimensions for HAA (HA maximum diameter >20 mm) used in the study were also suggested by Mylonas et al, 19 other authors used different definitions (10-30 mm). [20][21][22] The threshold diameter for elective repair of HAA was recently proposed as 40 mm in a retrospective analysis of 63 patients with HAA rupture. 23 However, rupture was also reported in patients with HA diameters of 25 mm, and despite this review, epidemiologic and surveillance data on HAA rupture are still scarce.…”

“…Two studies on clinical outcomes using the JOTEC E-liac IBD reported a freedom from occlusion of 92% and freedom from type I endoleak of 87% at 1 year or overall and IBDrelated reintervention rates of 23.8% and 8.7%, respectively. 19,20 Neither study commented on freedom from reintervention, but the generally high reintervention rate, especially compared with OR, is certainly a reason for caution. Our results revealed an IBD-related mortality of 0% and a technical success rate of 100%, which are in line with previously published technical success rates of 85% to 100% and IBD-related mortality rates of 0% for aortoiliac ER.…”

“…Die Beckenperfusion kann erhalten werden, indem man parallele Stentgrafts einsetzt (wobei solche Lösungen keine CEZertifizierung besitzen) oder indem man iliakale Seitarmprothesen implantiert, die die Beckenperfusion über einen in die AII implantierten Stentgraft erhalten. Die ersten Erfahrungen mit solchen Prothesen sind vielversprechend [40].…”

“…In order to prevent these potential complications, iliac branch devices (IBD) have been developed to preserve perfusion through unilateral or bilateral hypogastric arteries when excluding CIAA. Three commercial IBD configurations by respective manufacturers, namely, Cook Medical, W. L. Gore & Associates, and Jotec have been developed so far in Western countries, and one designed by Lifetech for Asian patients (6,(12)(13)(14). Among those, Lifetech iliac branch stent graft (IBSG) is the only device obtained the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) approval.…”
