Initial operations of HAG1-SmallGEO mission

Abstract

Four years ago, during Spaceops 2014, GMV and Hispasat co-presented a new concept of FDS operations that were being designed for the H36W-1 mission (originally named HAG1) implemented on the SmallGEO platform. This electric propulsion platform was developed by OHB under ESA's ARTES program. The FDS concept of operations presented was based on GMV's focusgeo FDS solution, designed to fly this spacecraft in a simple and safe manner. After a successful launch and IOT phase conducted by OHB, Hispasat started to operate H36W-1 in June 2017. This paper presents the highlights of the initial FDS activities.
