Since disruption of the PCL impairs sporting performance [2,13,15,21], several methods of reconstruction have been described using semitendinosus [9,11,17,20,25,27] and gracilis tendons [12,20,27] alone or in combination, the medial head of the gastrocnemius [14,21,26], the popliteus tendon [1], the patellar tendon [5], the iliotibial band [7,24], the meniscus [6,18] and the semimembranosus tendon [26].
