Injury Rates in Intramural Sports

Abstract: The purpose of this investigation was to determine the rate of injury in eight intramural league sports at a small (< 3,000 students) private college in the southeastern United States. The number and types of injuries were tracked during the 2011–2012 and 2012–2013 academic years for eight intramural league sports: flag football, softball, floor hockey, volleyball, 3v3 basketball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, and 5v5 basketball.
