Abstract:Nuclear accidents, such as the Fukushima nuclear accident, have highlighted the necessity for accident‐tolerant fuel (ATF) cladding. Previous studies focused on coating the outside of Zr alloy currently used in nuclear reactors with an oxidation‐resistant material in a vacuum environment.
