The digital economy based on digital technology is an important force for high-quality economic growth and industrial transformation, and has great potential for value creation. Based on the data of 30 provinces in China from 2007 to 2017, this paper uses entropy method to calculate the industrial green transformation (IGT), and empirically analyzes the impact of Digital economy on IGT. The DE can significantly reduce IGT of local and neighboring areas after excluding the influence of macro system factors and replacing the spatial weight matrix. The DE can indirectly reduce the IGT by accelerating the accumulation of human capital, and green technology innovation. The impact of digital economy on IGT is a non-linear relationship. With the further improvement of environmental regulation, financial development and intellectual property protection, the role of digital economy in IGT is more obvious. To this end, it is necessary to speed up the construction and improvement of digital infrastructure, build an integrated layout of "digital infrastructure", give full play to the radiating role of the digital economy, and implement differentiated development paths based on regional comparative advantages.

The impact of the digital economy on carbon emission intensity: Evidence from China

Evaluating the impact of the digital economy on carbon emission intensity has great significance in promoting sustainable development. Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2019, the level of the digital economy is estimated by using entropy weight and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) model. The panel vector auto-regressive (PVAR) model is used to analyze the impact of the digital economy on carbon emission intensity. The results show that, first, the comprehensive development level of the digital economy in China is not high, and it tends to rise slowly from 0.208 in 2013 to 0.221 in 2019. Second, the carbon emission intensity of China shows a downward trend from 0.720 in 2013 to 0.607 in 2019. There are significant differences in carbon emission intensity among different regions, and a decreasing trend is seen from the western region to the eastern region. Third, there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between the digital economy and carbon emission intensity. Fourth, the digital economy has a long-term negative effect on carbon emission intensity, but carbon emission intensity has no negative effect on the digital economy. According to the research conclusion, this study puts forward some suggestions.

The digitalization process of China's manufacturing industry has entered a critical period, and the real economy is also in an important period of high-quality development. Promoting the organic integration of manufacturing industry and digital economy to achieve high-quality development is a key and difficult problem to be solved. This paper examines the impact of digital economy on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry, the action mechanism and possible regional heterogeneity of the influence based on a panel dataset of 31 Chinese provinces and cities. The results show that digital economy can significantly promote the high-quality development of manufacturing industry, technological innovation and management efficiency have played positive intermediary roles in the relationship, furthermore,the technological innovation has a greater intermediary effect. There is regional heterogeneity about this impact, for example, the promotion effect in the eastern, western and southern regions is more significant than that in the center and north. At the time when China’s economic growth is transforming the old and new kinetic energy, more attention should be paid to the construction of infrastructure related to the development of digital economy, to promote the development of digital economy according to local conditions, to cultivate innovation platforms, to strengthen the training of digital technology talents, to promote digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, and to achieve high‐quality development of the manufacturing industry.
