Abstract: The loggerhead turtle Caretta caretta is a large marine turtle with a cosmopolitan repartition in warm and temperate waters of the planet. The South Pacific subpopulation is classified as ’Critically Endangered’ on the IUCN Red List, based on the estimated demographic decline.
