Innovative use of liquid crystalline acids as color developers in leuco dye-based temperature sensors

Abstract: CnBA liquid crystals (n = 4, 5, 6) were utilized as color developers of BF leuco dye in novel thermochromic sensors, which exhibit a reversible, temperature-dependent shift in both observed and emission colors.
