Innovative ways of engaging with BME communities

Abstract: Migrant South Asian women living in the UK have a higher prevalence of depression, but access to and engagement with mental health services is poor. The lack of interventions for this client group led to the development of a psychoeducational and CBT-based intervention group in an IAPT setting. Results and its implication on health care services are discussed.
