Inovasi Dan Pemanfaatan Perpustakaan Sekolah Dasar Menggunakan Media Sosial Masa Pandemi

Abstract

Libraries are institutions that are centered on fulfilling public information. The school library is a library that is used to support teaching and learning activities in schools. This library is included in the library which is said to be not yet ideal, both in terms of the collection of materials for the wearer, the librarian, and even the service. The Covid 19 pandemic has changed almost the entire structure of human life, including in the library sector. For this reason, all forms of innovation are continuously carried out to maintain the role of the library. Research methodology This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The technique used is conducting interviews and direct observation of the existing library conditions. The aim is to find out the condition of the library and to obtain information on what the library has developed. the result is to develop innovations in the field of social mediabased library services. Library services are carried out regarding activities supported by the use of social media, namely by using WhatsApp. The efficiency of using this service is very effective and makes the number of visitors to the library and the number of students borrowing books to increase even though there are several obstacles such as the need for good adaptation. This innovation should not be eliminated even though the pandemic will end. The use of social media can be used as a library promotion event to improve library services, which are still lacking enthusiasts.
