Inpatient education reduces length of outpatient oxygen therapy in bronchopulmonary dysplasia: A quality improvement project

Abstract: BackgroundPatients discharged on home oxygen therapy (HOT) for bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) often receive months of this therapy. A previous trial comparing two methods of HOT weaning showed that increased parent involvement in HOT weaning decreased HOT duration.
