Abstract: Inspired by the role of acetylcholine… … in biological channels, biomimetic nanochannels were prepared in PET polymer films. The channel surface was modified with p-sulfonatocalix[4]arene (SCX4) by flexible layer-by-layer electrostatic assembly. The presence of acetylcholine (Ach) caused the occurrence of host-guest inclusion between SCX4 and Ach on the inner wall.
