Insights into bioassessment of water quality status using functional units of protozoan periphytons in marine ecosystems

Abstract: Protozoan periphytons with their ecological features are considered as a robust bioindicator for bioassessment of both environmental stress and anthropogenic impacts in aquatic ecosystems.
