Inspection of ratcheting models for pathological error sensitivity and overparametrization

Abstract: Accurate analysis of plastic strain accumulation under stress-controlled cyclic loading is vital for numerous engineering applications. Typically, models of plastic ratcheting are calibrated against available experimental data.
