Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis of Honey Samples from Lokoja and Suleija North Central Nigeria

Abstract: Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) using Ghana Research Reactor (GHARR-1) at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GHAEC) operating at 15kW at a thermal flux of 5 x1011 n cm -2 s -1 was used to determine nine elements in honey samples from Lokoja and Suleija North Central Nigeria. The elements were; Al, Br, Ca, Cl, K, Mg, Mn, Na, and V. The concentration of the elements varied in the different samples ranging from few ppm to few percentages.
