Abstract:Vestimentiferans (Siboglinidae, Polychaeta) thrive in deep-sea hydrothermal vents and depend on chemosynthetic symbiosis for nutrition. Currently, the central carbon metabolisms, especially the sugar synthesis pathways, of vestimentiferans remain obscure.
