Abstract:This work presents an electromagnetic actuation based, optoelectronic active catheter tracking system for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The system incorporates a radio frequency (RF) micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) resonator array actuated by the Lorentz force induced due to the strong dc magnetic field available in MRI environment. Power transfer to the system and the actuation detection are done optically via fiber optic cables that replace conventional conductive transmission lines; thereby enabl… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
