Integration of Manufacturing Information via Dynamic Information Model Aggregation

Abstract: An important part of the industry 4.0 concept is the horizontal and vertical integration of manufacturing systems. Information exchange in traditional production environments happens through interfaces that are connections between strictly defined senders and receivers. This limits the possibility for changing and extending the manufacturing system. A possible approach to enable the information exchange between all system entities uniformly are information models. Such models are semantic descriptions of the … Show more

“…(2)Construction of Information Model for Automotive Test Equipment Considering the characteristics of interconnection and interoperability of information models [8], we also need to abstract and adjust the models based on Knowledge graph. After fully considering the general characteristics and actual needs of the automotive testing business [9], this paper constructs an information model that conforms to the business characteristics [10].As shown in the fig. 5.…”

“…In manufacturing, these entities are most often, for example, machines that continuously collect data that is further shared among other entities for cooperative interaction. In contrast, vertical integration describes the relationships between the different layers of a system within a corporate hierarchy (Lukoki, 2020;Csalodi, 2021;Schmied, 2021). Through this integration, companies are able to transfer valuable information across departments and thus are able to more easily orchestrate individual operations, plan a given production and organize human work as it is needed.…”
