Abstract:This paper describes an intelligent fuzzy logic algorithm implemented in a microcomputer-based device for use in Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy for lower-extremity stroke rehabilitation. The device monitors the use of the affected leg and supplies the patient with feedback in order to encourage increased use of the affected leg during therapy.
