Inter-Object Navigation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to Increase the Efficiency and Accuracy of Inspection of Power Lines

Abstract: The purpose of the work is to improve the accuracy and efficiency of a power line section inspection for a fault detection using unmanned aerial vehicles. The goal was achieved by using a unified computing and measurement platform on multicopter and aircraft drones and by simplifying the interaction between them and by using the inter-object navigation sensors.
