Interaction of deformation-strength characteristics of the support load-bearing elements in the preparatory workings

Abstract: The objective of this work is to study the relationship of the deformation-strength characteristics of the fastening system with its displacement value. The tendencies of influence are divided into two groups. The multivariate computational experiments have been performed in the conditions of coal-face works. It is shown the influence of geomechanical conditions of the mine working maintenance on the fastening system operating mode change when choosing its rational deformation-strength characteristics. On the … Show more

“…Thus, the line 2 in Figure 2 shows the well-known mode of constant resistance of support, which, not without reason, many experts consider the most effective. For example, the frame support from the special SCP profile [34] operates in the mode close to this one, but under condition of its highquality fastening: in the initial period of loading, the frame resists like a sufficiently rigid structure. And then there is a periodic activating of the yielding joists with a slight increase in the resistance reaction until the moment when the constructive yielding property value is exhausted; then, a rigid mode occurs with a sharp increase in the load onto support.…”

“…Even though there are geological, mining and technical factors affecting the roadways design and their maintenance [10], [11], the fas-tening process should be completely related to the geomechanics of border rock massif. The relationship between stress and fastening strength during roof support has been extensively dealt with by [12].…”

“…According to [12], [13], the main provisions have been substantiated by the loading process on fastening systems of the preparatory mine workings in the zone of the stope works. Schemes of conjunctive influence have been developed on the deformation-strength characteristics of lowering rocks of the roof (with their structural disturbances) and fastening constructions with different resistance modes.…”

“…The studies, conducted on certain examples of the stress-strain state (SSS) calculation, have revealed the tendencies of relation between the diagrams elements state for maintaining the preparatory mine workings with the most influencing geomechanics factors (Bondarenko, Kovalevs'ka, & Cherednychenko, 2010;Kovalevska, Barabash, Husiev, & Snihur, 2018;Małkowski, Ostrowski, & Brodny, 2018). For each of them, the mining and geological situation of maintaining the drift can be divided into "favourable" (for example, the shallow depth of development, increased rock hardness, etc.)…”
